Training specific to therapy dog visiting is a requirement for certification through Bright Spot Therapy Dogs, Inc. Our Therapy Dog Training Course is held throughout the year at Animal Alliances in Northampton, MA.
Our Therapy Dog Team Training Course covers the skills and techniques the handler and dog need to know in order to pass the evaluation and have a successful and rewarding experience visiting as a therapy dog team. The team must pass the evaluation and send in all required paperwork and fees in order to become certified through Bright Spot. Please Note: Taking the course does not guarantee that the team will pass the evaluation.

Zuri and I passed our evaluation and are now volunteering at a nursing home in Sunderland. We both want to thank you for your excellent training sessions. They gave us the skills and confidence to begin as volunteers.
